Using coloured gels: shoot…
This shoot did not go so well. Some problems encountered included setting up equipment with gels, positioning go background/backboard along with distance of object to the background. Here is a handful of shots form the shoot which are shown unedited (as they were not worthy of editing).
Problems with the image:
– The background is grainy
– The coloured gels do not work well together neither do the two colours blend in well at the point of intersection
– The object is far to close to the background, the background should be lit separately to the object that is being photographed.
Transparent objects are not the best to work with, its better to work with shiny reflective objects, which should be lit separately to the background.
