Direction/Feedback on personal items shoot…
After having a tutorial today it was identified that my images were too plain and cold. The images themselves referring to the COP investigation itself were a little emotionless and plain the idea of ‘making something look more beautiful than what it is’ was not being reflected in the right away.
Problems with the images:
– seemed to ‘flat’ and missing some key shadows/ highlights,
– Look like they have been shot using front lighting rather than side lighting
– They make things look better than average but not ‘beautiful’
– Theres no jump between average and beautiful.
Direction to move into:
Moving forwards I will be looking at each item individually and closely looking paying attention to detail and surrounding. The products should jump from average to beautiful creating a feeling a emotion when shown to the person that the item belongs too.
BRIEF: TO PHOTOGRAPH OBJECTS/ITEMS OF OTHER PEOPLE THAT HIGHLIGHT THEIR QUALITIES IN A EMOTIONAL MANNER.
